Events for 2009

The 3rd Annual Dutch Oven Cook-Off will be at 5:00 pm on May 22, 2009 at the Weippe Community Hall.  Cooks will be preparing food all afternoon, come by and visit, dinner will be served promptly at 5:00 p.m.  Tickets will be sold at the door at $6.00 per person, which includes 5 portions of your choice of Dutch Oven dishes, bread and beverage.

At 7:00 pm the Hilltop Players present the melodrama "The Vile Veterinarian" or "How Much is that Doggie with the Widow?"  Admission is donation only.

Come join us for an spring evening of dutch oven dining and local theater performance.

Crossroad of Cultures is the theme for the 9th Annual Weippe Camas Festival to be held on May 23, 2009 at the Weippe Mini Park and Community Hall.

8:30 am- Retreat to Weippe Fun Run/Walk- Start

9:00 am- Unveil the Crossroad of Culture Exhibit

10:00am - 5:00pm -Events- HorseshoeTournament/Silent Auction/Vendors/PonyRides/Demonstrations/Speakers/Music/Nez Perce Drum & Dance/Stroytellers/Kid's games and activities throughout the day.

7:00 pm Melodrama - The Vile Veterinarian! -or- How Much is the Doggie with the Widow?  Don't miss this one.

This grand event can kick off your Memorial Day Week-end and you can still go camping for 2 days.

The 9th Annual Retreat to Weippe Fun Run/Walk will begin at 8:30 am on May 23, 2009 at the Weippe Mini Park.  The 3 mile run, 3 mile walk and 10K run all begin at 8:30 am.

Register early (by May 10) and save money, or sign up the morning of the race.  See the registration form on this page for prices and additional information.

The annual HAW HEE will be presented Saturday night, November 21 by the Hilltop Theater Group.  Weippe Community Hall. A pie social will precede the event, 5:30-6:30 pm, sponsored by the Rebekas.  Come visit friends, have a piece of pie and enjoy a night of fun and laughter.
